"We have used Barenbrug for several years now.  The Pittodrie stadium pitch and Cormack Park training ground is renovated with Elite Sport.  The mix has performed very well for us – it’s good to know I am using top-rated cultivars, and we get good colour and little disease issues. 

 

Growing grass quickly during renovations in Aberdeen isn’t easy – both sites are exposed to cold winds and Pittodrie is straight off the North Sea.  Elite Sport has done well, giving strong rooting and a stable surface – Pittodrie doesn’t have the luxury of a hybrid pitch.

 

When winter sets in early, it is tough going obviously.  We try to mitigate this with an autumn sowing of SOS, and keep seeding in high traffic areas as the season progresses.  SOS does a great job – providing some green cover in a really challenging environment".
