"I have been using Barenbrug’s Ultrafine range for several years and when I became Course Manager at Fairhaven I had no doubt that it would work well on this site. Being a sand based, inland links, we experience a very high number of rounds throughout the year and the Ultrafine range provides us with a hard wearing, yet aesthetically traditional sward that we can rely on to provide dense turf cover.
We use Ultrafine 100 for pure rye overseeding on high traffic areas such as green surround pinch points and grass pathways, Ultrafine 60 for divotting Tees to get quick germination from the rye whilst maintaining a good Fescue presence, and Ultrafine 30 on fairways where we want a Fescue dominated sward but need a bit more wear tolerance due to heavy play. This is supplemented with Barenbrug Fescue to ensure we stay as traditional as possible in today’s modern demanding environment."
